Apache presents donation for Haiti relief efforts

Lana Jefferson Taussig - Tuesday, February 02, 2010

Last Friday, representatives of Apache Corporation visited the PROJECT C.U.R.E. sorting and distribution center in Houston to volunteer their time toward Haiti relief efforts and present a check to sponsor the delivery of three loads of supplies to the Caribbean nation as it recovers from the Jan. 12 earthquake.

The first load, which left PROJECT C.U.R.E.'s Nashville warehouse on Jan. 20, has already arrived in Haiti. Supplies from that load were distributed by the U.S. Southern Command to aid organizations working in the country.
About 15 Apache employees volunteered their time on Friday, during which they sorted donations of first aid and hygiene supplies to be sent to Haiti. Team Apache volunteers contribute to PROJECT C.U.R.E.’s mission on a monthly basis. Additional volunteer sessions were scheduled for employees to help with Haiti relief efforts.
