Project C.U.R.E. Cargo

Delivering life-saving medical supplies and equipment to people living in the poorest regions of the world.

Spotlight Container Project

Spotlight Containers are containers which hospitals have not been able to fully fund themselves and need your help to receive these much needed medical supplies. The containers are ready to go but lack a portion of the funds. Read more.

PART & PARCEL

Corporations, foundations, churches and community organizations sponsor the delivery of C.U.R.E. Cargo - live-saving medical supplies and equipment - to needy people in hospitals, clinics and orphanages in developing countries.

The composition of the C.U.R.E. Cargo is determined through an on-site Needs Assessment - an essential Project C.U.R.E. policy. Our staff walk the halls of the hospital or clinic, meet with the doctors and nurses and prepare an in-depth study of the medical expertise and scope of training; the availability of technicians, electrical power and spare parts; and past relief efforts to that site. This arduous step is rare but absolutely crucial to the success of the Cargo delivery.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

Based on this information, we handpick donated items already sorted and stored in our warehouses. The C.U.R.E. Cargo is loaded into a 40-foot, steel container - roughly the size of a semi-truck trailer - which holds an incredible amount of live-saving supplies and equipment. The Cargo container is typically transported by rail to a port city, loaded onto a ship and sent by sea to the recipient country.

Project C.U.R.E. ships millions of dollars of Cargo per year. Project C.U.R.E. works to establish long-term relationships with the highest available government officials to secure the necessary authorization to ship into the country and avoid delays in customs. Project C.U.R.E. will not agree to pay tariffs and duties on the incoming humanitarian Cargo shipments.

SIGNED, SEALED, & DELIVERED

These additional efforts result in an unprecedented success rate in the Cargo arriving at the intended destination without being lost to the black market. A Project C.U.R.E. partner waits at the receiving end to assure the Cargo's safe arrival. Since our first shipment to Brazil in 1987, not one Cargo container has been lost or confiscated.

More than medical supplies and equipment is delivered to poor and needy people around the world. When you or your organization underwrites the shipping of C.U.R.E. Cargo, you:

  • Help save the lives and ease the suffering of people around the world
  • Receive a tax-deduction for your donation
  • Ensure that donated medical equipment reaches people who could not otherwise afford it. You're Delivering Health & Hope to the World.
