Marlo Kirkham is an operations professional and nonprofit consultant, bringing nine years of senior leadership experience in business development, volunteer management, special events and building progressive community relationships to Project C.U.R.E. She is passionate about helping build capacity for organizations and connecting people with meaningful opportunities. She began her career helping military families build a sense of community by producing more than100 enrichment events and programs. She led large-scale service events, managed a volunteer program of over 3,000 volunteers annually and worked with over 100 community and corporate partners to engage employee/ public teams, helping underserved populations reenter the workforce. She also has managed a program providing meals and resource support for homeless children and led volunteer initiatives to help open new women’s shelters. Additionally, she has served as a consultant and trainer with the Points of Light Service Enterprise Initiative helping various nonprofits develop volunteer programs and attain a nationally recognized certification. Most recently, she helped launch the business and operations of a resort and venue in Estes Park, Colorado. Marlo is excited to translate her diverse background to help align more CSR programs and volunteers with Project CURE, so we can all be more socially responsible together.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, backpacking and traveling. She has volunteered with Global Vision International in Kenya, as a Peer Reviewer for California Volunteers, served on the Orange County Coalition to Assist Motel Families, Junior League of Orange County as Public Affairs Committee Chair and on the Board of Directors for Estes Park Wedding Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University San Marcos and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Brandman University. She has also received certificates in Volunteer Program Management through the Volunteer Centers of California and Meeting and Event Planning from San Diego State University.
