Make an Impact in Uganda: Join Our 2027 Clinic Team!

We are excited to announce our upcoming C.U.R.E. Clinic to Uganda from June 16 – June 27, 2027. This Clinic is in partnership with Christ Care Medical Center located in the busy commercial hub of Lira, just north of Kampala. During the Clinic, you will spend a full week providing essential medical care to patients, working side by side with local healthcare workers, and supporting their efforts to deliver healthcare in a region with limited resources. In addition to medical work, the team will have the opportunity to participate in a two-day excursion and overnight stay in the lush Murchison Falls National Park.

Our Clinic Model

Project C.U.R.E. Clinics are designed to support and extend existing local healthcare services—not replace them. Clinics are embedded within and anchored to local facilities to ensure care is appropriate, respectful, and sustainable.

Project C.U.R.E. Clinics aim to:

Provide high‑quality, short‑term episodic care
Support the catchment populations of partner health facilities
Strengthen community trust in local healthcare systems
Facilitate mutual knowledge exchange between visiting and local providers

Clinic Trip Itinerary

This C.U.R.E. Clinic’s 12-day itinerary includes four and a half Clinic days of direct patient care. Beyond the Clinic, you will explore this unique region in Uganda, engaging with the community and gaining deeper insight into the unique challenges and strengths of local healthcare delivery.

Friday, June 18, 2027: Drive to Lira (6-8 hours)
Saturday, June 19, 2027: Clinic Day 1: Community Site TBD
Sunday, June 20, 2027: Clinic Day 2: Christ Care Medical Center
Monday, June 21, 2027: Clinic Day 3: Christ Care Medical Center
Tuesday, June 22, 2027:Clinic Day 4: Christ Care Medical Center
Wednesday, June 23, 2027: Half Clinic Day at Christ Care Medical Center and Thank You Ceremony
Thursday, June 24, 2027: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park (4 hours) with an overnight at the Sambiya River Lodge
Friday, June 25, 2027: Explore Murchison Falls National Park
Saturday, June 26, 2027: Travel back to Entebbe (6 hours)
Sunday, June 27, 2027: Depart Uganda

The majority of your Clinic Program cost (tax-deductible donation) of $2,900 covers all Clinic costs (e.g., medications, supplies, point of care tests, glasses, interpreters, etc.). It also funds accommodations, meals, clean water, transportation (including drivers, fuel, and tips) medical travel and evacuation insurance, and license transfer procedures. Each participant receives a Project C.U.R.E. scrub set and T-shirt. Shipping and logistical costs are included.

Additionally, tour guides and small touristic excursions and activities are included.

International airfare and vaccinations are NOT included in the program cost. Please note, alcohol, internet access, laundry, and personal souvenirs are not covered in the program cost.

We are seeking a dedicated team of 15 medical and non-medical volunteers to provide much-needed care to this region. The following medical professionals are encouraged to apply:

Family or internal medicine physicians
OB/GYNs
Pediatricians
Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
Mid-level providers
Pharmacists & Pharmacy Technicians
Nurses
EMTs/paramedics
Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Chiropractors
Non-medical participants are also welcome to support the flow of the clinic, logistics, data entry, and other clinic roles.
