Support rural healthcare and medical education in Orlu, Nigeria
Orlu was highly devastated by the Nigeria Civil war (1967-1970). Orlu citizens continue to suffer war-pollution related health diseases such as cancer and other autoimmune diseases, hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition, all of which contribute to the high maternal and child health morbidity and mortality rate in Orlu. Due to the severity of endemic abject poverty, the life expectancy for Orlu men has been reduced to 48 years in the past 10 years.
