As families across the country shop for notebooks and organize carpools, there's a sense of rhythm returning. A new school year brings structure, excitement, and a fresh chapter. But this year, as children in the United States get ready to head back into classrooms, Project C.U.R.E. is inviting communities to see this season through a wider lens.
We are proud to introduce the Kits for Kids: Back to School National Campaign—an opportunity to connect classrooms and congregations here at home with children living in places where even the most basic healthcare is out of reach.
This campaign is not just about school readiness. It is about global readiness. It is about teaching compassion. It is about putting care into motion, one small medical kit at a time.
Each Kit for Kids contains essential health items: soap, gauze, bandages, antiseptic cream (antibiotic cream), a toothbrush, and more. The kinds of supplies many families in the U.S. keep in a kitchen drawer or bathroom cabinet.
But in communities across the globe—where children may walk hours to see a nurse, or where a scraped knee can lead to serious infection—these items are precious. They are protection. They are peace of mind. They are sometimes the only tools standing between a minor injury and a major complication.
And they do not just arrive in a box. Each kit comes with a personal touch. A handwritten note from a student, a faith group, a scout troop, or a corporate team. A message that says, “You are not forgotten. We see you. We care.”

These kits are shipped out in Project C.U.R.E.'s cargo containers, alongside vital medical supplies bound for hospitals and clinics in countries facing ongoing health crises. Every time a child receives one, it brings dignity, safety, and an emotional connection that spans borders.
