Welcome to Project C.U.R.E. — Philadelphia!
Project C.U.R.E. was founded in a Colorado garage in 1987 and has since expanded to seven distribution locations across the U.S., including the Philadelphia location, which is of strategic importance due to its location to port facilities. We’ve also grown to become the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment, and services to doctors and nurses in more than 135 countries. This is no easy feat. The only way we can make it happen is through the help and support of those also willing to get involved — from volunteering to donating, you can help us make a difference.
Main Line HealthCare’s Day with Project C.U.R.E. – June 2023
Main Line HealthCare is an arm of Main Line Health consisting of a network of over 100 physician practices. While the staff serves in a healthcare capacity daily, they recently discovered another valuable way that they can give back: by volunteering with Project C.U.R.E. The team audited and packaged postnatal Kits for mothers, and also helped with sorting medical supplies. Here are some comments about serving with and learning about Project C.U.R.E. from Main Line HealthCare staff:
“To think that there are moms out there that don’t have the items we just take for granted is just eye-opening. Our group of ladies should be so proud of what we accomplished in such a short amount of time. I am so happy that I signed up for this volunteer opportunity.”
“It was a very humbling and rewarding experience. To see pictures of the conditions in which people in other countries received medical treatment was very humbling. And to be able to help improve those conditions even just a little bit, was very rewarding.”
“Spending the day at C.U.R.E was a wonderful experience. The difference they are making is fantastic and it was great to participate in their mission. Spending the day with fellow co-workers added to the enjoyment”
Sending Health & Hope to Burundi – May 2023
The Project C.U.R.E. Philadelphia Warehouse volunteer crew recently loaded a container bound for Burundi. The group of volunteer nurses was proud to pose with an anesthesia machine donated by their hospital! The entire team is excited to have shipped their 90th container to the 39th country served since opening in 2015.
Deloitte Community Day – March 2023
We love partners like Deloitte, who regularly send volunteers to our warehouses to help further our efforts of delivering health and hope to the world. These Deloitte team members devoted their Community Day to serving with Project C.U.R.E. Philadelphia by pulling the hundreds of boxes of medical supplies bound for Suriname.
AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses) Surgical Instrument Set Building Event – February 2023
The Surgical Instruments area of the warehouse was filled with medical professionals from AORN and friends volunteering to build surgical instrument kits.
Because surgical instruments are made of metal only, they can be sterilized multiple times. They can safely be used repeatedly by our partners in under-resourced hospitals, which is why these are such valuable donations for Project C.U.R.E. locations to receive.
They said: “We had so much fun! Thank you for having us. We will be back again soon!”
Biology Club Donates Time – February 2023
An energetic group of Biology Club members from West Chester University gave their time and energy to spend the day processing surgical packs of medical supplies with us. These packs will be shipped to developing countries directly from the Project C.U.R.E. warehouse in Philadelphia.
Make a Financial Contribution
While we need our volunteers and medical donations, financial donations make a significant impact in helping us get the medical supplies from our warehouse into the hands of the healthcare workers who need it most abroad.
Together, we can continue our mission to deliver health and hope to the world.
