Hospital and Medical Facility Donations to Project C.U.R.E.
Think of the good that can be done with your excess supplies and equipment with usable life! Beds and surfaces, ultrasound and imaging, surgical equipment, and more provide the infrastructure for facilities in resource-limited countries. Hospitals and medical facilities provide most of the medical equipment that is donated to Project C.U.R.E. recipients.
Cargo containers are built around the equipment needs of the health system. 30-40% of the volume of each shipment contains durable medical equipment with the balance containing consumable supplies.
Benefits of Donations
Lives throughout the resource limited parts of the world – 138 countries – will be impacted by your donations. Project C.U.R.E. is a 501 (c) 3 and all donations will be tax-deductible. In addition, you can reference IRS code 170 (e) 3 for guidelines. For not for profit organizations, your donations should count toward your community charitable requirements. Note that we are not able to provide you with the financial values of your donations, however, we will provide acknowledgement of the donations.
You will find a listing of our priority equipment needs here. All equipment should be of good quality, medically appropriate for developing countries and, preferably in working order. When preparing your equipment for donation, please make sure to include any available accessories and supplies, such as cables, paper, etc., so that the unit can be fully functional. Equipment should not exceed 15 years of age.
Most all consumable items from medical facilities are accepted. Only products which have expired prior to 2020 are not acceptable. Regular consumable donation collections are available in most areas. Consult the Operations Director at your local distribution center for more information regarding scheduling. Collection receptacles are available.
