Decreasing Cervical Cancer Incidence, Morbidity and Mortality
Cervical cancer is preventable and curable when detected early and treated promptly. Yet, it remains the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide, with approximately 342,000 deaths and 604,000 new cases reported in 2020 alone.
Tragically, nearly 90% of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, where access to screening and treatment is limited (WHO, 2020).
Project C.U.R.E.’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Program is designed to address this global health disparity by training and equipping local healthcare providers to deliver lifesaving care in their own communities.
