About the Ghana Clinic Trip
Project C.U.R.E. has been partnering with Newmont Mining for over 10 years in Ghana, working together to improve healthcare access and outcomes in mine-affected communities. This long-standing collaboration has led to a series of impactful Clinic Trips, as well as C.U.R.E. College medical training programs for local medical professionals and the provision of medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics throughout the region through our C.U.R.E. Cargo Program.
On this trip, you will have the opportunity to contribute to these ongoing efforts by providing direct medical care, collaborating with local healthcare providers, and sharing knowledge to strengthen the healthcare system in Ghana. Volunteers will work alongside local providers to deliver primary care services for 5 Full Clinic Days, including vision care, physical therapy, wound care, and preventative health screenings. In addition to direct patient care, you will help build local capacity and contribute to sustainable improvements in healthcare, creating a lasting impact in the Ahafo North and Ahafo South mine-affected communities.
