SURINAME

International Medical Mission Trip to Suriname, August 2026

Located on the northern coast of South America, Suriname is a country known for its vibrant cultural heritage, pristine rainforest landscapes, and remote river communities accessible only by water. From Wednesday, August 19th – Friday, August 28th, Project C.U.R.E. will deploy a skilled team of medical and non‑medical volunteers to support community health efforts in the northeast region of Suriname, south of Moengo and north of the Nassau Mountains near French Guiana.

You’ll partner with local healthcare teams and Newmont Mining, our in-country partner, to deliver essential healthcare services to underserved populations. We are seeking volunteers with diverse skill sets; including General Medical Providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs), Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, Optometrists, Physical Therapists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and non‑medical clinic support volunteers.

Due to the daily transportation along the river and the rugged nature of accessing remote villages, this experience requires a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb in and out of boats and carry medical bags across uneven terrain.
