Project C.U.R.E. chartered a Boeing 737 cargo jet and sent it to Venezuela.
The earthquakes that struck Caracas claimed more than 4,000 lives. They also damaged the hospitals and clinics that were supposed to treat the survivors. Medical workers, some of them victims themselves, kept showing up anyway. They needed supplies. Project C.U.R.E. sent them.
The shipment carried $744,000 in donated medical supplies and equipment: 662 boxes, 337 pieces of equipment, 8,918 kilograms in all. It included a 40-foot tent from Deployed Logix, large enough to treat dozens of injured patients at once. The flight went first to Miami, then on to Venezuela, bound for 10 hospitals and clinics.
None of it moved on its own. Aspect Holdings, a Denver-based energy company, underwrote the charter. Without that gift, this relief would have traveled by container, arriving weeks later rather than days.

Project C.U.R.E.'s commitment to Venezuela goes back nearly a decade. Between 2016 and 2022, the organization delivered five medical cargo containers to five hospitals in Zulia state and Caracas. Those shipments carried a combined $1,987,936 in donated medical supplies and equipment. They reached an estimated 150,000 people.
